the RX-8

So, finally...Oh joy oh joy ....I am learning to drive nate's car. We took it to a parking lot today where I learned that getting the rhythm of the clutch is a lot harder than I thought. Stopping, shifting while driving...those are great. Starting from a dead stop-well let's just say I had to restart the car more times than I remember. But, hey I'm learning and it was fun. Eva got a good laugh out of it-and maybe a little whiplash. And thankfully Nate is very patient. I think this will be our new saturday thing-teaching Sara to drive a stick. And no I will not share which parking lot we are in-i need no onlookers.

Today is Maddie's birthday. She's 4. She's so grown...all that little bit of baby that was lingering has vanished and she is such the little girl. She has quite the range of emotion...and each one is as intense as the other. Recently, she got her hair cut. It's the cutest little swinging bob. I love my niece. She's amazing.

Moving on Up

Does anyone read this anymore? And I don't mean just mine-but xanga in general? Anyhow....I'm really excited because Nate and I have made our first real deal with real money and are on our way to becoming financially free. It's a little scary and we both felt a bit sick to our stomachs.....(so we went to the store and bought chocolate-it helped) and we are off and running. It's really amazing to be in a new place financially in my own mindset. The whole world has opened up in front of me.

more updates

So, i just reread my last entry and decided I sound like i'm 15 again. I'm concerned that if I don't become more well-spoken Eva will be speaking ghetto-hick. That's just not good. I could fake a buffalo accent, just to try and get rid of this okie accent i've picked up. maybe I will.
Eva is just amazing. I know I say that all the time but it never stops being true. Her new favorite word is no, but sometimes she uses it instead of yes. She and Nate are taking a nap on the couch right now. Love saturdays!
Wow, i thought i had more to say seeing as I have all this time, but there's really nothing I can think of. I have been listening to Ed online again and his message on epiphany just really hit me. I've listened to it about 5 times now and there's so much to it. It's really practical and has a lot of depth all at the same time. I just really needed to hear it I guess. Epiphany can change your whole life, your whole perspective in a moment. It's so true. Having eyes to see-to see how things actually are and not how i feel they are. To know God for who He says He is and not how I feel He is....God is so wonderful.

What's new!

So, here's what's new at the "McBrodtsters"...(i got that from Shane). We are officially the Brodts. Oh yes oh yes, Nate and I got married. If you are finding out on here I apologize-it probably means we should get together more. Eva is 14 months old...she is beginning potty training-that's right cuz she's a genius! For those of you yet to ask-no we are not planning on having any more children in the near future. I've kinda got my hands full...AND I just started the last week of my 13-week P90X kick ass workout. That's right kids I am back in shape-actually in better shape-and in my pre-pregnancy clothes. So, after this week I'm just going to start it all over again and keep getting lean and trim and then I'll start kicking some booty! <- that doesn't sound like me...i'll kick ass. better. What's with the slight aggressive tone you wonder-my workout includes a day of kickboxing each week...oh how i love throwing punches and kicks. Nate is starting the workout also-only the harder version (i'm going to do that next) and he can already see really nice results-in like 2 WEEKS!
We had a really good Christmas-nice and mellow and I got lots of kitchen gifts....my favorite!!! Nate built Eva a house/fort that she sits in and hides. Speaking of Eva-she just woke up so i gotta go!
